Choose a colouring book your child wants to open
An age range is a starting point. Your child’s interests and the pictures inside help you find a good fit.

Unicorns, helpful puppies or exciting vehicles? Let your child help choose the theme. A familiar interest can be a lovely starting point for some time with colouring pencils.
Look at the pictures, not just the age range
Compare the size of the colouring spaces and the amount of detail on each page. Large spaces can suit children who enjoy colouring freely, while smaller details may appeal to those who like spending longer on a picture. Age ranges are a guide – children enjoy different challenges.
Look inside before you choose
Our book pages include covers, book facts and selected previews. Valp Patrullen is labelled ages 3–6 and has clear outlines and large spaces. The Magical Unicorn is labelled ages 4–8. The Haunting Hour, labelled ages 8–12, features more detailed Halloween scenes. Explore the examples together and choose what looks fun.
Check the language, format and edition
Each book page lists its language and page count. The total number of pages is different from the number of colouring pictures: a book may also include introductory or blank pages. Always check the current edition and product details on Amazon before buying.
Make room for a little creative break
Put out a few colours and start with a picture your child chooses. It does not need to be finished straight away. If you colour together, you can talk about the picture and make up a story of your own.
